This work is inspired by Franz West’s work called Passstücke. Franz West claims that art works are completed by participation of the audiences. Among the people around me, I chose myself and my girlfriend to take part in my works. When you are in relationship, there are some good times and bad times. As the subject of Passstücke, I thought about me and my girlfriend’s arguments. Some arguments start with something small between lovers. In this work, I applied the philosophy of Franz West to the arguments of me and my girlfriend. Man and Woman have different way of thinking. Also we have different understanding, so we argue. I regarded the arguments in relationship as the S pole and N pole of the magnet. When you think of a bar magnet that has S and N poles, it is like a relationship of lovers. When the lovers are having an argument, they are like magnetics that are pushing each other. When ones opinion gets stronger, they start pushing each other away. In Cleaving and pushing, 2014, When the nails fell down by magnetic field, it seems like us when we broke down after argument. We spend the most of time inside the car. When we are in the car for dating or moving to somewhere, it gave us intimate feelings. When the arguments occur in the car sometimes, reconciliation is quicker compare to any other places, because we could focus on the situations of the misunderstanding better without any interruption. In Tete-a-tete, 2014 by recreating the car with weak materials such as paper tapes, I suggested the meaning of care and respect each other. I expressed the loving image of me my girlfriend by using nails. The pointed nails represent the tensed up feeling when we are having an argument.
